Message From CEO

Its our pleasure that Kisan Laghubitta has been able to provide an informative web-site. The best of my concern I firmly believe that this site could be handy to all stakeholders currently involved with Kisan Laghubitta or those have interest about us. We believe with the statement ‘Information Is Power’.

Kisan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd has been established as a socio- economic development organization “a National level microfinance institution” in 2075 B.S. It has been working for the rural people, especially women of the poor households of Nepal with the objectives of poverty alleviation, awareness building, social violence reduction and empowerment of women to uplift their socio-economic status. We have some major social intervention areas like: Poverty Alleviation, Human Resource Development, and Social Rights Protection. As the rural communities are always deprived from the modern facilities, Kisan Laghubitta started its programmatic intervention from the rural areas of Nepal.

Technological innovation, time and customer Favours creative policy. Energetic staff management are our key tools to get fast growth and institutional sustainability.

We know the word “Micro Finance is a social business” of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yunus and we have been pursuing to work on it.

Kisan Laghubitta is aware about the client protection, social performance and sustainability issues. It will continue to work in increasing financial inclusion and creating benefits for the clients. It will design/refine its products, services, delivery models and channels that meet clients need and preferences.

There has been tremendous change in microfinance sector over the years. Subsidized to commercialization, solidarity to individual lending, microcredit to microfinance, NGO to diverse suppliers, self regulation to prudent regulation are some of the changing trends seen in recent days. The government, central bank, policy makers, practitioners and others associated with microfinance development need to act in line with the changing trend in microfinance so that a sustainable and responsible financial system for the poor goes on smoothly.

I would like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to Nepal Rastra Bank, Government of Nepal, Board of Directors of Kisan Laghubitta and other concerned institutions who helped us to establish and grow. I hope to receive such cooperation in coming days too.

Thanks to our client who believed in our products and services and trying to come out of poverty through our services. I assure them qualitative and customer friendly services in future too. I would also like to thank our staffs for their commitment and sincerity towards achieving institution’s goal.
